Celadon with fresh, luminous hues enhanced by delicate crackle patterns, and Tenmoku with a deep, tranquil brilliance.
Born and raised in a family of ceramic artists in Kyoto, Nobuyuki Kimura continues his practice with remarkable precision, carefully observing subtle variations in firing temperature and kiln conditions, guided by years of experience and a strong theoretical foundation. Characterized by elegant forms and a rich variety of glaze expressions, his refined yet unpretentious tableware is cherished by restaurants across a wide range of culinary genres, both in Japan and abroad.
For his second exhibition at HULS Gallery in three years, we present approximately 80 works, featuring Celadon, Tenmoku, and new expressions including Shikkoku (Jet Black) and Seito-yu (Blue-Wave Glaze).
We invite you to experience the profound scenery captured within each vessel.
