This July, we will hold an exhibition of a Kokura-ori fabric brand “Kokura Shima Shima” from Kitakyushu and a bamboo craft maker “Takano Chikko” from Kyoto. SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) have attracted increasing attention in recent years and become a significant keyword for Japanese crafts. In this exhibition, we will showcase our original table linen with the “Kuromansuji” striped pattern crafted by Kokura Shima Shima, together with the SDGs color bags and handkerchief which are fabricated using recycled polyester. Takano Chikko’s high-quality bamboo utensils for tea ceremony are also available at the gallery. Please enjoy these latest works that are consciously made with a sustainable approach.
