Okeei is now the only remaining Edo yui-oke Wooden Tub workshop, founded in 1887 in Fukagawa, Tokyo. In this exhibition, we will showcase and sell the works including new creations by Eifu Kawamata, the 4th generation of Okeei such as various wooden containers for cooked rice and tea utensils. They are made from 300-year-old Sawara cypress. In the gallery space, you can feel the refreshing color and scent of the plain wood. Visit our gallery and experience the works made from the selected material and painstaking craftsmanship.
