“Kogei and Deep Breaths” – A Joint Exhibition of Masaru Kawai and Takashi Tanimoto

We are pleased to announce the first joint exhibition featuring Gifu-based woodworker Masaru Kawai and Mie-based ceramic artist Takashi Tanimoto. The theme of this exhibition is “Deep Breaths.” It is said that people unconsciously breathe shallowly or even hold their breath while engrossed in using computers or smartphones. In our fast-paced modern society, what role does Kogei play? Take a moment to pause, immerse yourself in the artworks of these two creators, feel the scent of wood, the texture of clay, and take a deep breath.
