Togashi has created new lacquerware that conveys the charm of lacquer, using techniques such as \u201cAizu Tamamushi-nuri,\u201d which shines like the wings of a \u201ctamamushi\u201d (jewel beetle), as well as \u201cShibuichi-nuri\u201d and \u201cTetsusabi-nuri,\u201d which express a metallic texture. This time, he has further expanded the boundaries of lacquer by incorporating \u201cLeather texture\u201d and \u201cBekko-nuri\u201d. In this exhibition, we will showcase a variety of works of tableware and art pieces that combine beauty with functionality.
