Driven by a passion to convey this appeal, Takao Togashi has developed a diverse range of techniques and continues to create highly imaginative works. In this exhibition, he is expanding his collection of new works featuring the beautiful, deep luster of “Aizu Tamamushi-nuri,” while also showcasing a wide variety of lacquer finishes, including “Shibunichi-nuri” with its metallic sparkle and white lacquer with its soft, delicate appearance. He is also placing a new emphasis on tea ceremony utensils. We also have a wide selection of other items—such as sake vessels, serving trays, and small boxes—that you can enjoy seeing and using in your daily life.
